Dozens of volunteers are needed each year to help make the Haunted Swap Meet a success. Volunteering is a great way to network while getting a behind-the-scenes look at the event. Volunteering is open to all. Volunteers assist and support the following key areas of the event:
Preparing the Exhibitor floor and materials
Exhibitor setup and break down
Swap Meet / AZ Haunters Information and Hospitality Center
Exhibitor Support
Security
Attendee Services
Exhibitor floor maintenance

SCHEDULING AND ATTENDANCE

All volunteer scheduling will be handled through the link above.
If a scheduling conflict arises, please alert the Volunteer Coordinator at least 24 hours before the event is scheduled to begin using the “Contact Us” form or email [swapmeet@azhaunters.com](mailto:swapmeet@azhaunters.com) .
There will also be a phone number available during the Swap Meet .

EXPECTATIONS OF A VOLUNTEER

Volunteers are the face of the Haunted Swap Meet. As such, volunteers are expected to be punctual, respectful and helpful while you are volunteering. We ask that you become knowledgeable on various aspects of the Swap Meet such as exhibitor locations, layout of the Metro Center, general Swap Meet information, and information about AZ Haunters.

Scheduling volunteers for this event requires a tremendous amount of planning and cooperation; AZ Haunters appreciates your willingness to help make this year’s Swap Meet a huge success by honoring your selected volunteer times, showing up on time, and staying until the job is done!

How do I find out about volunteering at the annual Swap Meet?

The 2019 Haunted Swap Meet needs many volunteers to assist with setup, breakdown, and other activities. For information regarding volunteering, please reach out to us via the Contact us form

What are the benefits of volunteering?

Volunteering is a great way to meet other haunters and of course, you get to be part of the Valley’s only Halloween marketplace!

What are the requirements to be a volunteer?

You must be physically able to help out, be punctual/reliable, and be enthusiastic about making this a great event for everyone.

What jobs will I perform as a volunteer?

Everyone will be assigned tasks based on their ability and interest.  Examples of tasks are as follows:

  • Examining and peace bonding prop weapons
  • Directing foot traffic
  • Assisting with exhibitor set up and break down
  • Handing out floor maps
  • Providing information at the AZ Haunters  Information and Hospitality Center
  • Keeping the exhibitor hall tidy and safe

Volunteer Position – Volunteer understands that the scope of Volunteer’s relationship with The Haunted Swap Meet is limited to a volunteer position, and that no compensation is expected in return for services provided by Volunteer, and that the Haunted Swap Meet will not provide any insurance or benefits traditionally associated with employment to Volunteer.

The Haunted Swap Meet is a registered DBA of AZ Haunters, LLC. 

Release of Liability & Covenant Not to Sue: Volunteers assume all risk incidental to participation in the Haunted Swap Meet, and hereby releases AZ Haunters, LLC and its members and agents from any and all claims related thereto including without limitation for bodily injury, and covenants not to initiate proceedings related thereto.
